On September 11 2001, 4 aircraft hijacked in the United States of America. That was the deadliest day in the history of America. Nearly 3,000 people were killed on that day. Total of 19 terrorists from Al-Qaeda has carried out the conspiracy.
Out of 4 aircraft, 2 aircraft was intentionally crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City by the terrorists. 3rd one into the Pentagon, which is the headquarters building of the United States Department of Defense. The 4th one was the only aircraft that did not arrive its hijacker’s intended target.

1. American Airlines Flight 11
American Airlines Flight 11, carrying 81 passengers and 11 crew members. The aircraft started from the Logan International Airport in Boston. The 5 hijackers, aboard the aircraft from the Los Angeles International Airport. The terrorists crashed the aircraft into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99 at 8:46:40 am. Mohamed Atta was the main leader out of 5 hijackers. Almost 1,344 people trapped into the building and some of them instantly killed.
2. United Airlines Flight 175
United Airlines Flight 175, carrying 56 passengers and 9 crew members. The flight was fly from the Logan International Airport in Boston. At Los Angeles International Airport, the 5 hijackers aboard in the flight. The trained pilot Marwan al-Shehhi take control over aircraft and crashed it into the south face of the South Tower of the World Trade Center, between floors 77 and 85 at 09:03 am. It was estimated that almost 637 people were trapped and some of them were instantly killed.
3. American Airlines Flight 77
American Airlines Flight 77, carrying 58 passengers and 6 crew members. It was started from Washington Dulles International Airport. Same from Los Angeles International Airport, the 5 hijackers aboard into the flight. The lead trained pilot Hani Hanjour to take control over the aircraft and crashed it into the western side of the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C at 9:37:46 am. Almost 189 were killed at the Pentagon site.
4. United Airlines Flight 93
United Airlines Flight 93, carrying 37 passengers and 7 crew members. It was departed from the Newark International Airport. The 4 hijackers aboard into the plain from San Francisco International Airport. The hijacking of Flight 93 was led by Ziad Jarrah. The aircraft was crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, during the flight between the passengers, crew members with the hijackers. It was believed that the, hijacked was intended to crash it either the White House in Washington, D.C or the United States Capitol building. All the 44 people were killed, including the 4 hijackers. But No one was injured in the field of Somerset County.
It was considered the deadliest day in the history of the United States of America. George W. Bush was the President at that time.
On December 18, 2001, September 11 was named as “Patriot Day” and in 2009, it was named as “National Day of Service and Remembrance“.
